Walsall boss Mat Sadler spoke of the pride he had for his side despite their losing effort in the League Two play-off final.

They lost 1-0 to AFC Wimbledon who went ahead on the stroke of half-time thanks to a thunderous strike from Myles Hippolyte.

Johnnie Jackson's side had to ride their luck during a thrilling second half, with Riley Harbottle clearing Jamille Matt's effort off the line.

Sadler reflected saying:

"There wasn't much in the game, there was a lot of feeling out going on, they have that one moment of quality, it is a good strike, that one moment it won the game, it was always going to a tight match.

"I want to say thank you to the fans, the players, the staff, we have given everything, it's the worst place to lose, but now the job is to comeback and be stronger."
