Police are appealing for witnesses as a murder investigation continues, following the death of a man died in a house fire in Wolverhampton.

The 26-year-old died in hospital following the blaze at Plascom Road at around 1.10am on Tuesday.

A 52-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy who were both seriously injured remain in hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the East Park area of Wolverhampton in the early hours of Tuesday, or who has dashcam or doorbell footage that may help.

They have also activated an online portal so people can easily send in their footage or images to investigators.

Wolverhampton Police's Supt Martin Hurcomb, said: "This remains a focused enquiry into a tragic fire which has claimed the life of one young man and left two other people seriously injured.

"CCTV is being reviewed as part of the on-going enquiries and we continue to have extra police on patrol in the area who people can talk to if they have concerns.

"We'd like to thank the many people who have already spoken to us as part of our investigation but we'd also urge anyone who does think they can help, to get in contact as their information may prove vital."
