Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a delivery driver was threatened in an armed robbery in Dudley.

The worker had parcels stolen when threatened with a knife on Swancote Road at 11am on 1 December.

A member of the public intervened and the man fled the scene.

West Midlands Police said in a statement on its website: "If you recognise this man, or were in the area at the time of the offence, let us know via 101 or Live Chat quoting crime number 20/986173/24.

"We’re working hard with local businesses to help keep delivery drivers safe when working across the region.

"Some people may have friends or family that work in the delivery sector, please pass on this important safety advice to them."
