Passenger seriously injured after Shropshire collision

After a serious collision in which a passenger was seriously injured in Shropshire, police have launched an appeal.

The single vehicle collision occurred just after 8pm on Friday near Northwood on the B5063 heading from the direction of Wem towards Welshhampton.

This involved a Ford Transit van with the partial registration plate ‘EX65’ as it was leaving Northwood.

The driver of the vehicle – a man in his 30s - was uninjured. He was also arrested on suspicion of drink driving and was bailed pending further enquiries.
