A man is due in court today (6 March) after a woman and a teenage girl were attacked in Walsall on separate occasions.

The teenager was also subject to an attempted kidnap.

A woman in her 20s was assaulted last Wednesday (28 Feb) on Scarborough Road and a 17-year-old was approached by a man who tried to coax her into a car close to the Broadway on Saturday (2 March).

Rambo Baeram, 24, from Walsall, is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court charged with two attempted kidnaps, two offences of aggravated bodily harm and one of sexual assault.

West Midlands Police said: "We're dedicated to tackling violence against women and girls, putting those who have been subjected to these offences at the heart of this work and supporting them through every step of the journey."
