Man arrested after woman stabbed to death in Wolverhampton
It happened at a house in Park Meadow Avenue this morning.
Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder over the death of a woman who was found seriously injured in Wolverhampton.
Paramedics were called to reports that a woman had been stabbed at a home on Park Meadow Avenue just before 7am this morning (15 December).
Despite their best efforts, the woman, who was in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Her family is being supported by officers.
A man in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murder and at this stage officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
Officers remain at the scene carrying out enquiries, and a post-mortem will be held to establish the cause of death.
