Group from Wolverhampton questioned over cannabis seizure in Gloucestershire

Four men have been questioned after cannabis and cash were seized in Gloucestershire.

The group from the Wolverhampton area were stopped by police on the A417 last week.

They were held on suspicion of supplying drugs and have been released for now as enquiries continue.

Wiltshire and Gloucestershire Police teamed up to carry out the operation.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson issued this statement:

"Wiltshire Police officers from the Fortitude team worked with Gloucestershire Constabulary to safely stop the car on the dual carriageway around 7.15pm on December 22.

"During a search of the vehicle a substantial amount of cash was seized, along with a small amount of cannabis.

"All four men have been released under investigation."
