Elderly man dies after being hit by car in Telford

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision involving a car and pedestrian on the A4169 near the junction of Lightmoor Road in Telford.

The incident happened on Sunday morning (10 December) around 10.25am when a black Vauxhall Corsa, which was travelling on the A4169, collided with a man who was crossing the road.

The pedestrian was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital but, sadly, the 81-year-old man died from his injuries.

Officers investigating the collision would like to speak to anybody who saw the incident or anybody with dashcam footage from around the time it happened.
