Drivers are being advised to avoid Broadway North in Walsall after a water main burst.

It's affecting the WS1 and WS4 areas.

The A4148 is closed, with drivers being advised to expect heavy delays and that locals will experience low water pressure.

It burst last night around 7pm.

West Midlands Fire Service said: "We have worked with Walsall Council, the police and residents at the scene to try to manage the water’s flow and limit damage.

"Firefighters isolated the electrics in two properties and opened a hydrant to divert water.

A water boom and portable pumping equipment have also been in use, and fence panels in some gardens were removed to try to lower water levels."
