Woman sent to hospital after serious collision on M54 near Telford

West Midlands Ambulance Service were called just before 2.24pm to a serious collision on the M54 near Telford.

A woman, who was the driver of the car, was assessed at the scene.

One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended for the woman who sustained non-life threatening injuries.

After receiving treatment at the scene, she was sent to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further assessment.

The incident happened between Junctions 4 and 5.

National Highways confirmed the road is now open, after it was shut following the collision.
