As the weather calms down, North Shropshire is still feeling the effects of Storm Darragh.
The fourth named storm of the season brought strong gusts to many parts of the country over the weekend, with millions warned to stay indoors.
The highest wind gusts were 96mph, recorded at Berry Head in Devon on Saturday.
Here, in the West Midlands, we were placed in a yellow weather alert for strong wind which came to an end on Sunday (Dec 8th).
However, today (Dec 10th), the North Shropshire MP has revealed that 2,500 people in Shropshire are still without power.
"It has been a really rough weekend. It has been a wake-up call that our utilities are not resilient enough to these big storms.
"We're only going to see more of these storms as the climate changes too.
"On Sunday, we had water pressure and some had water supply problems," said Helen Morgan.
MP Helen Morgan is currently working with utilities in the local area to fix the problem, and plan ahead so that this situation is handled differently next time there is a storm.
"We need to understand what measures are going to be put in place, particularly from the utility companies to prevent that happening in future," she said.
