Woman jailed for drug dealing in Reading

A woman has been jailed for two and a half years for drug offences in Reading.

Holly Jones, aged 22, of Goldsmith Close, Thatcham, was ordered to forfeit drugs, her mobile phone and cash at Reading Crown Court on Friday 3rd May after she pleaded guilty to possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

On 23 August 2021, Thames Valley Police stopped an Audi A3 Jones was driving on Jesse Terrace, Reading.

She was seen to put something down her trousers and was subject to a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Around 70 wraps of class A drugs were found on Jones, with a value in the region of £1,400.

Jones was arrested the same day and charged on 9 January this year.

Target

Investigating officer PC James Dunwell, based at Reading police station, said:

“We will proactively target and prosecute offenders and our activity will be both visible and covert aimed at disrupting and pursuing offenders involved in the supply of drugs.
