Concern over woman forced into car in Bracknell

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was seen to be forced into a car in Bracknell on Monday (8/5).

The incident occurred at the entrance to the car park on Crown Row off Opladen Way between 12.45am and 1am.

A man driving in a red VW Golf was sounding his horn and appeared to be following a woman who was walking along the pavement. They were shouting at each other.

The driver was heard telling the woman to get into the car twice but she refused.

The driver then got out of his vehicle and forced the woman into the passenger seat before it was driven away towards the Sainsbury’s roundabout.

The man is described as white, approximately 25-years-old, around 5ft 9ins tall, with short mousey brown hair and was wearing a navy blue bomber jacket.

The woman is described as white, approximately 21-years-old, around 5ft 7ins tall, with blonde hair and was wearing a black puffer jacket and either blue or white jeans or grey trousers.

The VW Golf is described as a Mark 5 model, 56-plate and had a loud engine or exhaust.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Megan Walmsley said:

“I am appealing for anyone who saw this concerning incident or has any information about it to please come forward.

“I would also ask that anyone who was driving in the area at the time with a dash-cam to please check your recording in case you captured anything that could help us.

“Anyone with footage, or any other material that might assist our investigation, can send it to us through this dedicated online portal.
