Woman assaulted in Basingstoke

It happened at the weekend in Buckskin

Police in Basingstoke say a man riding a scooter may have important information to help them find someone who assaulted a woman.

It happened last Saturday night between 1120 in the evening and 1245 in the morning in the Buckskin area.

A woman in her 20s, was walking when she was struck in the face by a man wearing a hooded top.

The man ran off when another man riding a scooter rode past.

The woman sustained a facial injury but did not require hospital treatment.

The victim does not know where the attack took place.

Police say they are making enquiries to establish the circumstances of this incident, including where it took place.
