Woman arrested in Bracknell over 'racial hatred' post

Police say 48 year old woman is helping with their investigation

Thames Valley Police investigating incidents of malicious communications in Bracknell, have made an arrest.

A 48-year-old woman from Bracknell was arrested yesterday (14/8) on suspicion of publishing written material to stir up racial hatred. She remains in custody at this time.

The arrest relates to posts published on social media between 1 August and 13 August.

Arrest

Deputy LPA Commander for Bracknell and Wokingham, Chief Inspector Andrew Grahame, said:

“We are continuing to investigate this incident and have made an arrest.

“Anyone with any further information about these incidents who has not yet come forward to do so through our online reporting site or by calling 101, quoting reference 43240387992.

“If you do not wish to speak to police, you can contact independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and they will take your information 100% anonymously.”
