Woman arrested after serious collision in Reading
A woman in her 40s sustained serious injuries

Officers investigating a serious collision in Reading have arrested a woman.
At around 4am on Friday (17 October), a woman aged in her 40s sustained serious injuries after being hit by a car on the A329 Caversham Road, near the junction of Abattoirs Road.
She remains in hospital in a serious condition.
A 29-year-old woman from Reading was arrested on Saturday (18 October) on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and is currently in police custody.
Roads Policing Lead Investigator, Detective Sergeant Robert Chevalier said: “We have now made an arrest in connection with this incident, but I would again like to appeal to anybody who witnessed the collision, or the moments leading up to it, to please get in touch.
“I’d ask people to please check doorbell, dash-cam and CCTV footage to see if it has captured anything that may assist the investigation."
