A 22-year-old man from Wokingham has been sentenced to ten years and eight months in prison for rape and sexual offences, after a Thames Valley Police investigation.

Brandon Brenner, of Honey Hill, Wokingham, received his sentence at Reading Crown Court on Friday, 28th November 2025.

After an eight-day trial, which concluded on 11th August, a jury at the same court unanimously found Brenner guilty of:

Two counts of rape

One count of sexual assault

Brenner also pleaded guilty to three counts of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Crimes targeting 17-year-old victim

Between 14th November and 17th November last year, Brenner posed online as a fictitious female character in order to gain the trust of his 17-year-old victim. He persuaded her to meet him at a hotel in Wokingham, where the crimes took place.

Brenner was arrested on 5th February 2025 and charged just days later on 8th February.

The court heard that Brenner was not found guilty of two additional charges of rape and one of sexual assault against the same victim, which allegedly occurred between 28th November and 2nd December 2024.

Police praise victim’s bravery

After the sentencing, Detective Constable Helen Lord commended the victim for her courage during the investigation and highlighted the importance of holding sexual offenders accountable.

“The victim in this case has shown immense bravery throughout this investigation, and we thank her for her continued support,” DC Lord said.

“Brenner’s conviction is a testament to the commitment of Thames Valley Police to bring to justice sexual offenders and to make our streets a safe place for everyone.

“It is also the result of the work of dozens of police officers and staff, along with our colleagues in the Crown Prosecution Service and prosecution counsel at trial.

“We will continue to listen and support complaints of such offences and work relentlessly against those who think it is acceptable to perpetuate any form of violence against women and girls.”
