Police appeal for help after two attacks in Hungerford
Police believe they're linked and want to gather any dashcam footage that may exist
Police are appealing for witnesses following two incidents in Hungerford which are believed to be linked.
Between 11am and 1pm on Saturday (30/4), two incidents occurred in Morley Place and Priory Avenue.
In the first incident, at approximately 11.15am in Morley Place, a man approached the front passenger door of a cream-coloured Mini One vehicle, striking the passenger in the face, before running off.
Then, at approximately 12.30pm in Priory Avenue, the same suspect, along with two other men, blocked the road, preventing the same Mini from passing.
During this incident, one of the men was holding a hammer and approached the front seat passenger, hitting him with the hammer and making threats to him.
This man then kicked the car, which is believed to have caused some minor damage.
Descriptions
The first offender was white, wearing a black puffer style jacket with a yellow zip and dark tracksuit bottoms. This man was holding a hammer during the second incident.
The second offender is described as a mixed-race man, aged around 18 or 19 years-old and approximately 5ft 3ins tall with a skinny build.
He was wearing a light royal blue tracksuit jacket and had dark short hair, longer on top. He also had facial hair and was described as scruffily dressed. This man was carrying a red-handled knife with a blade around four inches long.
The third offender is a white man, again aged around 18 or 19-years-old and around 5ft 3ins tall.
He was of a large build wearing a grey hooded top with dark short hair.
Victim
The victim, a 29-year-old man, suffered minor injuries, and did not require hospital treatment.
Arrest
A 23-year-old man from Hungerford has been arrested on suspicion of assault by beating and making threats to kill and has been released under investigation.
PC Daniel Parnell, based at Newbury police station, said:

“I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and may have dash-cam footage of either incident to please contact us if it has captured anything that can assist this investigation.
