Blustery conditions and strong winds set to batter Berkshire and North Hampshire

The Met Office has issued a weather warning

A warning for strong winds has gone up across the whole of Berkshire and North Hampshire.

The yellow alert is from 9pm on Wednesday (10 March) through to 3pm on Thursday afternoon (11 March), and also covers the whole of England and Wales.

The Met Office says we could get expect blustery conditions including heavy showers over this period.

Gusts of up to 50-55mpg are possible inland, with the chance of gusts reaching 60-70mph along coasts and on hills, especially in the west, before easing on Thursday afternoon.

It warns that during this time, we could get delays to travel, as well as for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges, and some loss of power and other services.
