Police appeal after serious collision in Bracknell

A van driver suffered serious injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision in Bracknell.

At just before 7am on Wednesday (9/10), a grey Jaguar I-Pace car was involved in a collision with a silver Citroen Berlingo van in Bagshot Road, outside the Bracknell Leisure Centre.

The driver of the Citroen, A 52-year-old man sustained serious injuries, including a broken sternum and broken vertebrae and was taken to hospital, where he remains at this time in a stable condition.

Witnesses

Investigating officer PC Paul Stott of the Roads Policing Unit said:

“This collision occurred during the morning commuter traffic, therefore I am hopeful that there were witnesses to what happened.

“It would appear that the Jaguar crossed the central reservation onto the opposite side of the dual carriageway and was then involved in a collision with the Citroen.

“I’m appealing to anybody who was driving on Bagshot Road in Bracknell last Wednesday between 6.50am and 7am and who witnessed this collision to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“I would particularly like to hear from anybody who has dash-cam in their vehicles. Please check this, and contact us if it has captured the collision, or the moments leading up to it.
