Two men jailed for county line drugs offences in Reading

The court heard how the pair were operating a county drugs line called “Money”

Two men have been jailed for county line drugs offences which took place in Reading. Naquan Davis and Tendai Smith were jailed after officers carried out a search warrant at two London addresses in July 2022.

An investigation in the lead up to the warrants found that the pair were operating a “County Drugs Line” called “Money”, selling drugs in Reading.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Robert Mogridge, of the Thames Valley Police Drugs Focus Taskforce, said: “Smith and Davis were running a “County Drugs Line”, which was selling drugs in Reading.

“The Drugs Focus Taskforce will continue in its work to target those who are involved in “County Lines” drug dealing and drugs supply in general.

“We are watching you, we will investigate you and we will bring you before the courts to face justice.”

Davis pleaded guilty to one count of being concerned in the supply of cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin, and being in possession of criminal property.

Smith, aged 23, pleaded guilty to one count each of, being concerned in the supply of cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin, and possession of criminal property.

Both men were sentenced to over five years and seven months’ imprisonment at a hearing at Reading Crown Court.
