Two charged over robbery at Alton jewellers
Two men have been charged over a robbery at an Alton jewellers.
The incident happened at TH Baker jewellers on the High Street on Tuesday (9th February).
39 year old Lee Benneyworth of Leominster Road in Portsmouth has been charged with the following offences:
Robbery
Common assault of an emergency worker
Common assault of an emergency worker
Racially / Religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress
Criminal damage
40 year old Jamie Massiah, of no fixed abode has been charged with robbery.
Both men appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (10th February) and were remanded to next appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday, 16 March.
