Two people, including 13 year old, arrested after man assaulted in Reading

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault in Reading.

Officers were called to Oxford Road at around 1130pm on Tuesday night (10 August).

A man in his forties was taken to hospital with a head injury - where he remains at this time.

A 34-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent and a 13-year-old boy from Tilehurst was arrested on suspicion of wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.

Both have been released on police bail.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Dominique Roe, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this assault, or anyone who may have information about what happened, to please come forward.

“Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 or making a report online, quoting reference 43210358232.
