A 12-year-old girl has been taken to hospital following a hit-and-run incident in Tilehust near Reading.
Officers from Thames Valley Police were alerted to an incident taking place on the junction of Dee Road and Taff Way at around 3:50pm on Friday afternoon (March 28th).
When responders arrived at the scene, they found that a girl had been hit by a car that had knocked her to ground.
The car involved in the incident is believed to be a dark-coloured Volkswagen Golf, with the driver leaving the scene shortly after the collision.
The girl was eventually taken to hospital nearby for her injuries, which Thames Valley Police have described as "minor".
Speaking on the incident, PC Louise Savory from the force said: "We are appealing for the public’s help in our investigation.
“The driver in this incident did not stop and we are asking anyone who saw the collision or who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage to get in touch."
