The Met Office has issued a yellow thunderstorm warning covering the whole of Berkshire and North Hampshire as well as the East of England, parts of the Midlands and parts of the North.

It warns of the potential for some heavy rain and thunderstorms from 6am tomorrow (Saturday 3rd July) through to midnight the same day.

Some parts could get rainfall of 30-40 mm rain in a few hours.

The Met Office says once this clears, more heavy showers are expected which "will be more hit-and-miss with many sites staying dry following early rain". But where those showers do take place, there is a chance of up to 35mm falling in an hour, with lightning and hail.

It could cause disruption to travel and there is a small chance of some flooding to homes and businesses.

Power cuts are also a possibility in places.
