Thatcham rape investigations continues

The investigation continues after a woman was raped in Thatcham.

At around midnight on Monday 16 August, officers were called after it was reported that a woman had been raped in a layby on the A4 in Thatcham opposite Cox’s Lane.

A 28-year-old-man from Bracknell was arrested in connection with the investigation and following a number of enquiries, he has now been released with no further action.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Alice Broad, said:

“We continue to investigate this incident and continue to follow multiple lines of enquiry.

“The victim is being supported by specially trained officers and we are working with her to gather further information to assist us in investigating this concerning incident.
