Man assaulted in Thatcham

Victim was punched and kicked to the ground

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault in Thatcham.

The incident occurred at around 11.45pm on Saturday 30 October in The Broadway, Thatcham. The victim was stood outside a kebab van when the offender kicked and punched him to the floor.

The victim sustained injuries to his face and required hospital treatment but has since been discharged.

The offender is described as a white man in his fifties, wearing a dark puffer jacket and jeans.

Investigating officer PC Rachael Hall, based at Newbury police station, said:

“We would like to appeal to anybody who may have been in the area and witnessed this assault to please get in touch.
