Thames Valley Police officer summonsed over sex assault allegations

The officer based near Reading will face court later this month

A serving Thames Valley Police officer has been summonsed to attend court in relation to sexual assault.

Sergeant Luke Winton was served with the summons in connection to eight counts of sexual assault on 27 June.

Police Statement:

"The offences are alleged to have taken place on 10 and 11 December last year.

"Sgt Winton is due to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on 19 July.

"Sgt Winton is based at Loddon Valley police station but is currently suspended."
