A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said:

"The life of a CSI isn't exactly as portrayed on television. This isn't about glamorous investigations while casually sipping coffee. The real deal involves rolling up your sleeves and working tirelessly to bring justice to those who need it most."

CSI Sarah Bradley

Sarah Bradley has been a CSI for more than 20 years and worked on some of the region's most high-profile crime scenes, but she says it's the personal connections created by incidents such as burglaries that can bring the most satisfaction:

"It might be the case they've built the business up from scratch and it's devastated them or you're with someone who has had sentimental jewellery stolen or something like that. Knowing that when you do find some evidence that might identify someone you get that spark of excitement inside you."

The CSI recruitment event is at The Curve in Slough on Wednesday September 13th and runs from 4pm - 8pm.
