Cyclist in life-threatening condition after collision with car in Woodley

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a serious injury road traffic collision in Woodley.

At around 4.45pm on Friday (August 29), a grey Hyundai i20 and a cyclist were involved in a collision on London Road.

The cyclist sustained serious injuries, requiring hospital treatment, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

A 24-year-old man from Slough was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. He remains in custody at this time.

Investigating officer Police Sergeant Matthew Cadmore, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this collision to please get in touch.

“I am also appealing to anyone who was driving in the area in the moments leading up to the collision to please check their dash-cam for any footage.

“Footage can be uploaded to our dedicated online portal and anyone with information can call 101 or make an online report via our website, quoting reference number 43250442717.
