Teenager jailed over cannabis production in East Berkshire

19-year-old pleaded guilty at Reading Crown Court

A teenager from East Berkshire has been jailed for production of cannabis.

19-year-old Arbar Alia from Hillside in Slough admitted one count of producing a controlled drug and was sentenced to 30 weeks in prison.

He was arrested after officers identified a cannabis farm at his address.

On 6 February 2021 officers identified a cannabis factory at an address on Hillside in Slough, and upon gaining entry, Alia was detained and arrested after attempting to flee the property. He was charged the following day.

DC Thomas Harman, of Slough police station said:

“This conviction demonstrates how Thames Valley Police work proactively to disrupt organised criminals and reduce the impact of drugs on our communities.
