Teenager from Fleet jailed for 'terrifying' incident

A teenager has been jailed for more than two years following an incident in Fleet.
Police say they were called to reports that a man had driven a car towards a group of people at the Gurkha Square car park at around 2am on Saturday 29 March.
A man in his 20s was injured and suffered injuries to his foot, hand and face.
The man in the vehicle then discharged an air rifle from his car before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported.
Harrison Munday, 18, of East Hundreds, Fleet, was later charged with a number of offences:
Attempt to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to do grievous bodily harm
Possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence
Possessing an offensive weapon in a public place
Possessing a knife blade / sharp pointed article in a public place
Driving a motor vehicle dangerously
Possessing a controlled drug of Class B
He pleaded guilty to all offences and was jailed for a total of 26 months at Winchester Crown Court.
Terrifying
Detective Constable Lauren Drysdale, from Hart & Rushmoor CID, said: "This was a terrifying incident for those in the area at the time and clearly the outcome could have been a lot worse.
"Our officers were quickly on the scene and swiftly made an arrest shortly after the incident.
"I would like to thank my colleagues for their effort throughout the investigation to ensure that Harrison Munday was charged and put through the courts."
