Teenager 'critical' after assault in Bracknell

He was attacked in Winkfield Row on Wednesday afternoon

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Bracknell.

The incident occurred between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Wednesday (17/8).

It happened between the Tesco Express on Horndean Road and Farningham House, Winkfield Row.

Two men in white tops were seen running from the direction of the Tesco and the victim was found by Farningham House with injuries.

The victim, a man in his teens, sustained head injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant, Marcus Burrows, based at Loddon Valley police station, said:

“I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward.

“Also, if you have any CCTV footage in the area or any dash-cam footage if you were driving in the area around the time, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.

“I would like to reassure the community that this was an isolated incident.
