Teenager arrested after burglary at school in Hartley Wintney

Officers investigating reports of a burglary and criminal damage at Greenfields Junior School in Hartley Wintney have made an arrest.

Police were called to a report that the school had been broken into, and a significant amount of damage had been caused between 4.30am and 9am on 6 August.

Officers launched an investigation and made an arrest yesterday (Sunday 10 August).

A 14-year-old boy from Hartley Wintney was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal and criminal damage to property – value over £5,000.

Police say he has been bailed with conditions, to allow for further enquiries to be carried out.
