Olympic Team GB Rowers will be taking part in a ‘Heroes Return’ parade in Henley this weekend.
Locals are being invited to celebrate the athletes in Henley, many of whom trained at the Leander Club, on Saturday, September 21.
The event will highlight the ‘incredible achievements’ of Team GB with a row past on the River Thames, a procession by Wokingham Brass Band and an open-top bus.
The row will begin at the Leander Club, passing through Henley Bridge, Hart Street, Bell Street, New Street, Thameside and Hart Street again.
The row past will take place from 9:30am to 10:30am, before the procession sets off for the Town Hall at 11:15am.
Rowers will be met by Henley Town Council’s mayor Rory Hunt and Leander captain Lola Anderson who'll make speeches.
Leander Club athletes have won 159 Olympic and Paralympic medals since 1908.
