Stolen power tools dumped in north Hampshire woodland

Police say large quantity found in Eversley south of Reading

Police have recovered a large number of suspected stolen garden power tools from an area of woodland in Eversley.

The tools, which include leaf blowers, hedge trimmers and chainsaws, were found at around 6.30pm on Monday night ( 15 January).

Police have launched an investigation and enquiries remain ongoing to identify the rightful owners of the equipment.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said:

"We would like to take this opportunity to remind tool owners to ensure their equipment is marked.

"Our plea to tool owners is to protectively mark your equipment so that if it is ever lost or stolen, it can be easily returned to you when it is found.

"You can register your valuables using the website Immobilise, which is a free service that can help reunite recovered items with their owners.
