We are being warned to be careful on the roads today, after snowfall in parts of Berkshire and North Hampshire overnight.
Police and Highways England say there could be difficult driving conditions throughout the morning rush - with a Met office yellow weather warning in place for both snow and ice until tomorrow morning at 9am.
The forecasting body say there could be particularly heavy falls south of the M4.
Chief meteorologist, Matthew Lehnert, says, ""During the afternoon, a further spell of sleet and snow is likely to develop across southern England and South Wales which could cause travel disruption into the evening. The impact of lying snow and ice on untreated surfaces may have an impact on Thursday morning travel."
The UK Health and Security Agency has issued a Level 3 Cold Weather Alert for the whole of England.
They have advised that people should check on vulnerable relatives and told pensioners and anyone with an underlying health condition to heat their home to at least 18C.
