Murder inquiry starts in east Berkshire
It's after an elderly man died in hospital following an attack
A murder investigation has begun after the death of a man who was assaulted in Slough.
The victim, an 82-year-old man from Slough died on Sunday (29/9), after he was assaulted on Stoke Road on Tuesday (24/9).
Formal identification is yet to take place.
Isolated
Detective Inspector Nick Hind, of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said:
“Firstly my thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this difficult time.
“We believe that this is an isolated incident and that there is no wider risk to the public.
“If you witnessed the incident, have information about what happened, or may have CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or make a report via the Thames Valley Police website, quoting reference 43240460762.

A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, both from Slough, were arrested on Wednesday (25/9) on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. They have both been released on bail.
