Reading minibus crash victim was a six-year-old boy
Police give more details about Sunday's M4 crash as they appeal for witnesses
Police are appealing for witnesses following the fatal minibus crash on the M4 at Reading last Sunday.
At around 2.25pm on Sunday (11/5), a white Ford Transit minibus overturned on the M4 Junction 10 exit slip road onto the A329M.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
Sadly, a six-year-old boy died at the scene. His next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers.
Six children remain in hospital after sustaining serious injuries. One of these children is in a critical condition, at this time.
Other occupants of the minibus sustained minor injuries, in the collision, and have been discharged from hospital after receiving medical treatment.
No arrests have been made.
Investigation
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Lyndsey Blackaby, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Firstly, I want to offer my deepest condolences to the family of the child who sadly died in this collision.
“A full investigation has been launched in order to understand what caused the collision.
“We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it, to please get in touch.
