Six charged over Reading football violence
They're the latest charges in connection with a clash in the town centre a year ago
Six men have been charged in connection with violent disorder prior to the Reading and Oxford United football match last year.
Ryan Brooks, aged 28, of Wick Close, Abingdon;
Joseph Cockcroft, aged 48, of Northfield Square, Witney;
Ben Britter, aged 49, of St Johns Road, Thatcham;
Ian Taylor, aged 58, of Bramshaw Road, Tilehurst;
Ethan Towse, aged 22, of Nire Road, Caversham;
James Barnes, aged 36, of Oxford Road, Reading.
All were charged via postal requisition between Friday 15 November and Monday 18 November with one count of violent disorder.
The charges are in connection with an incident which occurred on Station Road and Friar Street, Reading on 12 December last year.
They are due to appear at Slough Magistrates’ Court on 7 January 2025.
