Attempted robbery and sexual assault in Bracknell
Offender ran away when the victim screamed
Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery and sexual assault that occurred in Bracknell.
At around 9.15pm on Sunday (6/11), the victim, a woman in her twenties, was walking from Bracknell train station along Crowthorne Road North towards the underpass which runs under Downshire Way.
A man who was walking behind her overtook her. Then as she turned into the underpass, the man grabbed her, demanded money and put his hand up her top, touching her inappropriately.
The victim screamed and the man made off in the opposite direction.
She was not injured and nothing was stolen.
The offender is described as a black man, between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build and approximately 20 to 30-years-old.
He was wearing a dark puffa-style jacket with dark trousers and white trainers.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Megan Walmsley, based at Loddon Valley police station, said:
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to please come forward.

“I’d also ask motorists with dash-cams who were in the area around the time that this happened to please check any footage in case it may have captured something that could help our investigation.
“Following the incident, a member of the public offered to walk the victim home. They are described as being tall, with short blonde, curly hair, wearing earphones and a black puffa-style jacket. If this is you, please get in touch with any information that you may have.
