Second arrest in connection with Bracknell machete attack

Police investigating a machete attack in Bracknell have made a second arrest.
A 19-year-old man from Bracknell was arrested yesterday (14/8) on suspicion of section 18 GBH with intent and attempted murder. He remains in police custody.
A 42-year-old man from Bracknell, who was arrested on suspicion of section 18 GBH on Thursday (10/8), has been released on police bail.
The arrest relates to an incident at approximately 1.20pm on Wednesday (9/8) at a bus shelter outside Radius Court, London Road.
The victim, a man aged in his thirties, was attacked by a man with a machete and sustained a stab wound to his face. He remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detective Inspector Stuart Streeter said:
“We have now made a second arrest in relation to this investigation.
“I would like to reassure the community that we believe offenders and victim were known to each other and as such, this was an isolated incident.
“I would again, however, urge anybody who witnessed the incident, may have dash-cam or other footage of the incident, or has any information that may assist the investigation to contact Thames Valley Police, either online via our dedicated portal for this investigation or by calling us on 101, quoting reference 43230354630.
