Police issue CCTV of potential witness

Police have released a CCTV image of a witness in connection with a grievous bodily harm in Reading.

The incident happened in Station Hill at about 5.30pm on Saturday 19 August this year.

A group of males alighted a bus and walked towards Reading Train Station.

They then approached the victim, a 51-year-old man, and attacked him.

The victim suffered several skull fractures and a bleed on the brain. He was treated at hospital, but has since been discharged.

This man may be a witness to the attack

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Stephen Johnson said:

“I am appealing to the man in this CCTV or anyone who knows him to please contact the force as soon as possible. We believe that the man may have witnessed the incident.
