Police urge three to come forward after helping victim of rape in Reading
A teenage girl was raped on Saturday (15th November)
Thames Valley Police are asking three people who helped a teenage girl after a rape in Reading to get in touch.
It happened on Saturday night (15th November) between Elm Park Road and Albany Road.
Officers say two men intervened in Prince of Wales Avenue, and a woman then supported the victim nearby.
A Thames Valley police spokesperson said, "Thames Valley Police is appealing to three Good Samaritans who helped the victim of a rape in Reading.
"The victim, a teenage girl, was walking on Oxford Road near to Beresford Road just after 10pm on Saturday.
"The victim was approached by two men who tried to engage her in conversation.
"The offenders and the victim then walked to Prince of Wales Avenue between Elm Park Road and Albany Road. At that location, the victim was raped by the offenders.
"The offenders are two white, bald men, of slim build. and both clean shaven."
Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Sukhveer Sokhi said: “I appreciate that this offence will cause concern in the local community.
“I can reassure local residents that Thames Valley Police is conducting a thorough investigation.
“I am appealing to three Good Samaritans who helped the victim after the offence to please come forward.
“Firstly, two males, possibly boys in their teens, who intervened and had an altercation with the offenders in Prince of Wales Avenue around 10.25pm.
“Shortly after this altercation happened, the victim then walked into Elm Park Road, where a black woman helped the victim.
“We are appealing to these three Good Samaritans to come forward, because what you saw and heard will help our investigation.
