Reading Police Station relocating to new site on Imperial Way
The current Castle Street station will remain open to the public until 26th November.
Thames Valley Police is relocating its Reading Police Station from Castle Street to a new base at Atlantic House, Imperial Way, Reading.
The front counter at the current Castle Street station will remain open to the public until 26th November 2025. From 27th November, all public enquiries and appointments will move to the new facility at Atlantic House.
The site offers on-site parking, including designated disabled spaces, although spaces are limited. Visitors are reminded to use additional nearby parking options while adhering to local restrictions and charges where applicable.
Atlantic House is accessible via several public transport options, with bus services such as the 600 Park and Ride, the 6 Emerald, and the 50 Greenwave running routes from Reading town centre. The Mereoak Park & Ride service also stops along Imperial Way.
Superintendent Colin Hudson, operational commander for the relocation project, expressed pride in the work behind the move:
“It is a real privilege to lead the work that has gone into the relocation of Reading Police Station. Castle Street has been a main operating base for nearly half a century, and this move reflects the force’s commitment to investing in community policing and has involved a range of departments working together to complete this major project.
“We look forward to welcoming the public to the new location and continuing to provide high-quality service to the communities of West Berkshire.”
