Police charge a man over Reading cyclist murder

It's in connection with the death of a cyclist near to the Royal Berkshire hospital last week

A man has been charged with murder in Reading.

Shazeb Khalid, aged 24, of no fixed abode was charged with one count of murder today (20/2).

The charge is in connection with the death of Vignesh Raman, aged 38, who was found in Addington Road on Wednesday (14/2) following a road traffic collision between a cyclist and a vehicle.

Vignesh Raman was sadly declared deceased at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and a murder investigation was launched

Khalid was arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday (19/2). The seven men arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have all been released on bail.

Khalid is due to appear at Reading Magistrates Court tomorrow (21/2).
