Reading Football Club have signed forward Tom Ince on loan until the end of the 2021-22 season – with Liam Moore putting pen to paper with the Potters in a loan deal of the same length.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Tom to Reading Football Club,” Royals boss Veljko Paunovic said. “He is an exciting player and he knows this division inside out. He will add creativity, pace and power to our play in the final third. On the other side of this deal, I want to wish Liam Moore an excellent rest of the season.”

The son of former England captain Paul Ince, Tom burst onto the scene with a prolific period with Blackpool – scoring for the Tangerines in the 2011-12 Play-Off Final against West Ham at Wembley before being named as the Football League’s Young Player of the Year the following season after registering 18 goals for Ian Holloway’s side.

The former Liverpool Academy graduate has been a Potter since signing for City in 2018, taking his career goal tally to 92 with a strike against his former employers, Hull City, when Stoke triumphed on Humberside just two weeks ago.

In another deal late on Monday night George Pușcaș completed a loan move to Italian second division side Pisa and will play the remainder of the 2021-22 season in Serie B.

Pușcaș joined the Royals from Inter Milan in the summer of 2019 and has scored 20 goals in 91 appearances for Reading. He has found the back of the net twice this season, his last coming in a 4-3 defeat at home to Huddersfield earlier this month.

Pisa are currently chasing promotion to Serie A, sitting in second place behind league leaders Lecce, but only a point ahead of Brescia in third.
