The count took place at the Rivermead leisure centre on Friday afternoon

Here are the election results for Reading Borough Council (RBC), announced at today’s (May 7) election count.

Seventeen seats were up for grabs and all seats stayed with the same party except for Redlands which went to the Green Party from Labour.

The political makeup of the 46-seat council is now:

Labour – 29

Conservative – 10

Green – 5

Lib Dems – 2

This means Labour now have a 12-seat majority.
