Woman stabbed in 'attempted murder' in south Reading
Victim also had an 'unknown substance' thrown over her

Police are appealing for two specific witnesses to come forward in connection with an investigation into an attempted murder incident in Reading.
At around 10.30am on Friday (17/12), the victim, a woman in her thirties, was assaulted by two men in a property in Foxhays Road, Whitley.
The victim sustained stab wounds to her face and neck and also had an unknown substance thrown over her.
She was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Officers believe that a couple who were walking through Foxhays Road onto Wentworth Avenue around the time of the incident may have information that could help the investigation.
DC Emily Pallett, based at Reading police station, said:
“We are carrying out a thorough investigation into what happened.
“Through our enquiries, we believe that a couple who were walking through Foxhays Road, may have witnessed what happened or have information that could help our investigation.
“We are therefore appealing for them to please get in touch with us by calling 101, quoting reference 43210568398.
“We’d also appeal to any motorists who were in the area and have dash-cams to please review any footage in case it may have captured something that could also assist the investigation.

A 33-year-old man from High Wycombe has been arrested in connection with this incident and released on police bail.
This incident is now being investigated as an attempted murder.
