Man charged with rape in Reading
A woman was attacked late on Thursday night
A man has been charged with one count of rape in Reading.
Ciprian Spanu, aged 37, of Deerfin Road, Ballymena, Northern Ireland, was charged yesterday (29/4) with rape and he remains in custody.
The charge relates to an incident on Oxford Road, Reading at around 11.15pm on Thursday (27/4), when the victim, a woman aged in her thirties, was attacked by a man that she did not know.
Spanu was arrested on Friday (28/4).
He will appear before Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (2/5).
